Traditional Coffee Machines

How do I choose the right traditional coffee machine?

Start with how you plan to use it. Consider your daily drink volume, available space, preferred drinks, and how much control you want over brewing. For cafés, also think about peak-hour demand, workflow, grinder compatibility, cleaning, and ongoing support.

Should I choose a traditional, semi-automatic, or automatic machine?

It depends on how involved you want to be. Traditional and semi-automatic espresso machines give you more control over brewing and milk preparation, while automatic machines handle more of the process for you. Think about your experience, drink volume, and how much convenience you need.

What features & specifications should I look for when buying a traditional coffee machine?

Look at the boiler setup, brewing capacity, temperature control, steam power, and group configuration. If you enjoy milk drinks, make sure it can handle your steaming needs. Also consider the grinder, counter space, cleaning routine, maintenance, and after-sales support.

How important is the grinder when buying an espresso machine?

Very important. Your grinder has a big impact on how evenly your coffee extracts. Look for consistent grinding and enough adjustment to dial in your beans. A good espresso setup is a team effort between the beans, grinder, and machine.

How much cleaning and maintenance does a traditional coffee machine need?

Regular care is part of owning a traditional coffee machine. Clean the portafilter and group area, wipe and purge the steam wand after use, and empty the drip tray as needed. Deeper cleaning depends on the machine, usage, and water quality.
